Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide specialized therapy services within a Colorado elementary school setting. The position involves supporting a diverse caseload primarily based at two elementary schools, with some students in middle school who have significant support needs. The role requires both direct and indirect therapy interventions and includes substantial documentation responsibilities such as evaluations and Individualized Education Program (IEP) paperwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored occupational therapy services to elementary and middle school students with varying needs
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement effective therapy plans
- Complete thorough evaluations and maintain accurate documentation compliant with special education requirements
- Manage a caseload that includes students with significant support needs, ensuring proper therapeutic intervention
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized education planning and progress monitoring
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Successful completion of the NBCOT national certification exam
- Current state licensure in Occupational Therapy
- Experience working with school-aged children in an educational or clinical setting preferred
- Strong organizational skills to manage paperwork and caseload efficiently
Location and Schedule:
- Position based in Olathe, Colorado
- Full-time contract role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Immediate start, contract through May 21, 2026
